A mess of furniture and cinderblocks remains exposed to the open air right alongside the the Quinnipiac River a week after a back wall collapsed at a Front Street warehouse that may soon be built up into new apartments and retail space.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - City officials are calling for stricter legislation requiring annual structural inspections for vacant and historical buildings following a partial collapse Monday evening (Dec. 30) on Magazine Street in the Lower Garden District.
