The president’s push to reshape federal landmarks has drawn scrutiny from preservation groups and Democrats.

President Donald Trump has plans to revamp another iconic landmark in Washington D.C. Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Trump said he plans to coat the Lincoln Memorial’s reflecting pool in an “American flag blue” hue to revive one of the capital’s most noticeable features.

The pool, which is more than 2,000 feet long, was the site of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech and other events.
