Here's the latest snowfall forecast and travel conditions outlook for Omaha this evening. And it looks to stay cold over the the weekend, but there are more mild days in the forecast.

Chief Meteorologist Lisa Teachman says winter is back through the weekend with a few pockets of snow on Friday. Fire danger takes a hiatus, but may be able to return next week.

The heaviest snow is expected north of a line stretching from Waterloo to Prairie du Chien, where 2 to 4 inches of accumulation is possible. Areas south of this line will see lighter amounts, ranging from a trace to 2 inches. A few degrees difference in temperature could shift these totals, so stay with us for updates as the system moves through.
