“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert said CBS did not air his Monday interview with Texas state Rep. James Talarico out of fear of the Federal Communications Commission.

Stephen Colbert said he had to drop an interview with James Talarico from his Monday broadcast because of new F.C.C. guidance that targeted political interviews on late-night shows.

"Then, I was told in some uncertain terms, that not only could I not have him on, I could not mention me not having him on."
