Extremely powerful wind gusts barreled through southeast Wisconsin on Monday afternoon, April 27, and knocked out power for thousands.

As strong winds blew through West Michigan Monday, many trees were knocked down onto power lines, vehicles, houses and people.

Crews worked to cut a massive tree that fell onto power lines on Main Street in Aliquippa. It fell near the Junior and Senior High School. Police closed Main Street between Carroll Street and Franklin Avenue.

Tuesday's storms tore out several trees on the west side of Waterford, knocking some onto homes and a car, and tearing the roof off a pole building. A National Weather Service storm survey team will be in Waterford Wednesday night to determine if a tornado touched down.
