Here is a quick and easy tutorial for building your own DIY shaker style cabinet doors or drawer fronts! Shaker doors are made up of 3 parts - rails (side pieces), stiles (top/bottom piece) and a middle panel. For mine, I used 1x3s for my rails and stiles and 1/4in sanded plywood for the middle panel. You could use a router or a dado blade to make a groove in the 1x3s but I’m going to just use what I have and make it work with the table saw. I need the groove to be 1/4in thick so I am running it

Now that the shaker cabinets are done, let’s DIY our shaker drawers to tie it altogether! 👏 Just like the doors. We ripped down 1/8 inch plywood to 1 and a half inch sheets for the small drawers and 2 and a half inches for the larger ones by the oven. We secured the boards with liquid nails and 1/4 inch finish nails. Next, we’ll mud and sand everything to prep them for paint. And yes, the original pulls will be replaced once we’re done! I’m so excited to see it all come together 🤩 Next up: Mud
