Sad news. Gomez was euthanized 10/19/24. RIP CODE RED - EUTH LISTED! Gomez is absolutely TERRIFIED in the shelter, and his behavior demonstrates that. Unfortunately, the shelter is reading his behavior as difficult, and they continue to use a ketch pole to manage him. Using a ketch pole on a terrified dog will just exacerbate the situation! Handsome Simba will need a rescue commitment by 10/24/24 or he will be euthanized by OC Animal Care. Simba seems to have a prior history from 2021 of running stray and reportedly chasing people. His owner continually left their gate open. In 2023 he bit a child while running stray. Neighbor has complained that Simba is running about again due to owner not keeping their gate closed. It does
